KEWANEE FOOD PANTRY
We are a non-profit organization that collects and distributes food to eligible Kewanee residents.

We assist approximately 475 households per month and distribute around 1 million pounds of food each year.
Our 2025 totals show we handed out nearly 5,700 boxes of food which assisted approximately 19,500 people.
Kewanee Food Pantry receives food and distribution boxes from several sources, including wholesalers, distributors, area food banks and local stores.
We also receive commodity food items from the State of Illinois.
And of course, we are very grateful for food and monetary donations received from the public and area groups and businesses!
We are also proud of our "BACKPACKS FOR KIDS" program which distributes to schools and students in our community every week during the school year. In 2025, we handed out 3,760 backpacks to local children.
